Roberto Clemente Bridge, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
The temperature is dropped outside and I headed down to take some photos in and around Pittsburgh. Instead of heading over to one of the overlooks, I decided to stop by the stadiums and try to shoot a few of the bridges. This was the best one that came out of the shoot.
Didn't stay too long since it was so cold and I wasn't quite dressed properly.

Working Late. Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
Taken near the Mon incline overlook, the offices of the PPG building are visible with the right lens. This type of image makes me inherently uncomfortable; the inherent contrast between inside and outside, warm and cold, wet and dry, day and night are all on display.
it makes me sad.Pittsburgh from the North
Typically Pittsburgh is a city that is often photographed from the south or southwest where the confluence of the three rivers and Point State Park is visible. It's a fantastic view, but I was driving down to the city and realized that I was going to try and capture ANOTHER image of the SAME view with little or no changes to the technique. So I decided to try something a bit different.
Ice on the River Allegheny - Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
Last night was cold and I took advantage of it and got this photo of the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh. This is one of the first times I've seen the rivers freezing which is pretty neat.

Sunset over the Southside - Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
I haven't had a chance to try and capture a really good sunset in some time. This summer has been strange. All day there are these great big, wonderful, fluffy clouds; then comes sunset and they all disappear and it's cloudless. Cloudless. Pittsburgh. These things normally don't go together. But a cloudless sunset is a boring sunset. Tonight's sunset was NOT boring. The sky was on fire.

Sunrise on the Allegheny River - Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
I really have a hard time getting up early enough to get photos like this. When I do, it's always GLORIOUS.

Rachel Carson Bridge - Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
The bridge was all lit up, but during the course of creating the 7 individual exposures for this image, the lighting changed and so the odd lighting of the water and bridge occurred. I'm kind of digging it really.
Feedback on this one is particularly wanted.rachelcarsonbridgepittsburghpennsylvaniaalleghenyriverwaterskycity
You are Loved - Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
Someone over the previous few days chalk painted stenciled "You are Loved more than you know" on a pylon on the North Shore. Most friendly piece of graffiti i've encountered yet.

International Space Station over Pittsburgh - February 27, 2018
At 5:41 AM the International Space Station flew over Pittsburgh. It was a rare convergence of events: the orbital position was correct, the sun was in the right place, the weather cooperated.
I had miscalculated how high the ISS would fly over and only got a small arc (seen in the upper right of the image). I had a few other glitches that I'll be sure to fix next time. But as a proof of concept, I think this works.ISSflyoverpittsburghpennsylvaniacityskyscraperriverreflectioncolorhighmarkalleghenybridgesrobertoclemente
Sunrise on the West End (January 18, 2018)
This is another photograph I took on the West end on the morning of January 18th. The cold was pretty intense and I really like the ice on the river. Frost was everywhere.
